Two strangers: the Doctor, charming, eccentric Time Lord with a past as dark and heavy as a black hole; Gabriella Gonzalez, waitress and wannabe artist with a future dragging her down like lead chains. Hurled together by a wave of psychic horror haunting New York, they embark on an epic new adventure across time and space.

Hey everyone, its Sarah and I'm back with another book review. Today's review is on Doctor Who: Revolution of Terror by Nick Abadzis, Elena Casagrande (ILLUSTRATIONS) and Arianna Florian (ILLUSTRATIONS).

This book is the first graphic novel in a new series about the Tenth Doctor of the Time Lord’s lifespan and originally played by David Tennant in the TV show. In this new series we are brought into new adventures with The Doctor and his new companion, Gabrielle Gonzalez. They are brought together by a wave of psychic horror that is haunting New York and their journey is only just beginning.

This graphic novel depicts a great story. The graphics of the characters and the aliens, or supernatural beings is amazing and the whole book feels like a piece of art. And it has a beautiful cover to match.

The two short storylines are simple and easy to follow—if your use to the normal crazy talk that The Doctor uses. If you are a fan of Doctor Who than I am sure you will enjoy meeting our new companion who seems to be very interesting and unique in her way to stand out from the other companions.

The slight down fall to this novel is The Doctor himself. Being a TV show to novel transition some things can be lost in turning something from one to another, and unfortunately, for me, The Doctor is just not the Tenth Doctor. He is properly displayed on the page and he doesn’t scream all of the characteristics that make the Tenth Doctor who he is. He says a few weird catchphrases that almost made me cringe as I knew that the doctor who never say something like that.

Overall this graphic novel is a good read and Doctor Who fans will love it, I know I will be continuing the series and hoping that the Tenth Doctor becomes himself more as I read. So pick it up and see for yourself if you see our beloved Tenth Doctor in the pages.

But that’s all for now.

I’ll write you soon.
