The Neptune Grand has always been the seaside town’s ritziest hotel, despite the shady dealings and high-profile scandals that seem to follow its elite guests. When a woman claims that she was brutally assaulted in one of its rooms and left for dead by a staff member, the owners know that they have a potential powder keg on their hands. They turn to Veronica to disprove—or prove—the woman's story. The case is a complicated mix of hard facts, mysterious occurrences, and uncooperative witnesses. The hotel refuses to turn over its reservation list and the victim won’t divulge who she was meeting that night. Add in the facts that the attack happened months ago, the victim’s memory is fuzzy, and there are holes in the hotel’s surveillance system, and Veronica has a convoluted mess on her hands. As she works to fill in the missing pieces, it becomes clear that someone is lying—but who? And why?

Hey everyone, its Sarah and I'm back with another book review. Today's review is on the second book of the Veronica Mars series, it’s Veronica Mars: Mr Kiss and Tell. Once again written by the amazing talented Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham. This book continues on from the first, a few months after the events of the first book and now Veronica is handed a new case.

Six months have passed and the story takes off with Weevil’s trial. At the same time, Keith has also been investigating the car crash (from the movie) and exerting and exposing Sheriff Lamb—Neptune’s most corrupt sheriff. Veronica is hired by the Neptune Grand to prove or disprove a woman’s claim that she was brutally assaulted in one of its rooms.

The new mystery that Veronica is handed is simply amazing, and like in every one of Veronica’s cases you are cheering for her to catch the bad guy and get him thrown behind bars. I was also glad when reading that this book goes back to an old story line from the TV show that was never really closed up. I had actually been thinking about the certain character that returns and had been wondering what had happened to them and was pleasantly surprised to find that they return here.

Much like the first book everything in this one was great. The pace, the characters, setting, writing; it ticks all the boxes for me and I cannot help but be extremely pleased. The twists this book had surprised me, and they are easy to read and stick with.

I was pleased to see that in this book you get to see a more mature relationship between Veronica and Logan, and you also get to see a deeper friendship with her long time pal Weevil as well. It’s great to see that you are able to tell that these characters have in fact grown up. I have seen before that throughout series that characters don’t seem to grow up through the book even though they are meant to, they can get stuck in the age that they begin at but you can see that all of our beloved characters have a more mature outlook on life.

But that’s all I got.

I’ll write you soon.
